The Potato Council is a handpicked, invitation-only network of people who lead in some corner of the potato industry — and a permanent place for their work, their writing, and their voice.
The potato industry is vast, international, and quietly fragmented. The people who move it forward — growers, breeders, processors, traders, scientists and the organisations that represent them — rarely have a single, credible place to publish and be found. Social feeds bury their work in days. The Potato Council exists to fix that: each leader gets their own branded home on the network, and the network itself becomes a place worth visiting for anyone who cares about potatoes.
Membership is by invitation. We add voices we believe the industry should hear, across the whole value chain — from the field to the freezer aisle, from the laboratory to the trading desk. Being on the Council is meant to mean something; it is a selection, not a sign-up.
If you lead in the potato world, or know someone who does, you can nominate a member.
Leaders write about what they know — variety selection, sourcing, storage, trade, policy, the field-level decisions that shape a season. The views expressed by each leader are their own. The Council is the place that gathers them, not the author of them.
The Potato Council is an independent editorial network. For enquiries, nominations, or press, write to hello@potatoes.me.
